Cheesesteaks can bring up quite a discussion, with / without, what kind of bun etc…Understanding the general technique of how to make them at home is the goal here. Once you have that down, you can get creative. Use different cheeses, add more vegetables and so on. In the IGTV video with this recipe I used a baguette, because that was available at the moment.(during COVID 19) I will say the traditional soft sub/hoagie/wedge roll is the best. It is the softness of the roll that almost gets steamed in the wrapping when you have purchased a cheesesteak from your local deli.
