Looking to create something truly delicious? Culinary Works combines professional cooking instruction with a casual, hands-on, and dynamic social format that everyone can enjoy. Located in the kitchen design studios at DEANE, Inc. in Stamford,  our hands-on cooking classes are fun and interactive, with seasonal menus and entertaining themes to choose from.

Get cooking with customized, private cooking parties for entertaining, corporate team building, friends’ night out, and celebrations of every kind. Our goal is for everyone to improve their cooking skills and learn some new recipes that they will be able to successfully re-create on their own. We work with individuals, groups, and organizations to design an event that is fun for all.

MEET JULIA DEANE

EXECUTIVE CHEF

Home chef, cooking instructor, mother, wife, woman….juggling it all and taking on what life brings with enthusiasm. My professional training comes post-undergraduate from a local community college (studying under a certified master chef) and various recreational cooking schools in Italy, Chicago, New Orleans, and New York City. My practical training comes
from many hours in the kitchen cooking, eating, entertaining, and teaching. I have owned and run my own culinary school since 2002. I successfully teach the average person how to navigate through the kitchen with more confidence and vigor and I am proud of what I do!

Katherine

Business Manager & Marketing Assistant

Katherine wears many hats at Culinary Works. In addition to being Julia’s occasional video guest host, she keeps operations running smoothly with her witty personality. She is charged with the monumental task of keeping Julis in check and things on schedule. She is a Texas girl, wife, mother of two and sports fanatic.

James

Culinary Works Assistant Chef

James is an old school Italian through and through, and we are lucky that he wears many hats for Culinary Works. In addition to being a consistent presence at Culinary Works events, he is also the liaison with DEANE Inc, event coordinator, voted “best laugh among a crowd”, and a huge asset to our team.
